Settler’s Point

E&W scales up production to complete 630,000 ft² Facility

Could you fit 11 football fields under one roof? You can at the Settler’s Point Warehouse in Shepherdsville, KY.

As an experience commercial construction provider, E&W was the selected turn-key commercial concrete contractor for the recently completed 630,000 ft² distribution warehouse. This massive project consisted of 65 opposing truck docks, approximately 120,000 ft² of heavy duty reinforced concrete truck paving and dolly pads, and over 20,000 ft² of sidewalks.

Flat floors were important to the Owner. Through the use of a laser screed and specific finishing methods for the slab-on-grade placements, we achieved FF & FL numbers greater than 85 & 65, respectively.

With exceeding the slab-on-grade floor flatness and floor levelness by more than double the required specifications, E&W’s quality of work and attention to detail was a large part in making this project a huge success.

He is a civil engineer by education from the University of Kentucky and is currently a project manager and estimator at East & Westbrook. Ethan has managed very large commercial projects as well as large concrete packages throughout his career. Ethan has a proven track record of providing customers with completed construction projects on schedule and on budget as well as providing the personal attention and quality due to his talents for site planning and coordination.
